Overview

The ideal candidate is professional and diplomatic in dealing with internal and external customers and maintains a positive work atmosphere. Outstanding customer service, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills are critical to the success of this position.

 

The IT Support Specialist reports directly to the Manager of IT and supports all employees throughout the offices and project sites. The Field Technology Engineer will primarily work in the Milwaukee office but will also visit jobsites in the Milwaukee area.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the intent of Cullen policies, procedures and quality standards is followed in accordance with company policy
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes a collaborative and cohesive environment
  • Provide support to technology users, employing a high degree of customer service, patience, problem management, technical expertise, critical thinking and timeliness
  • Develop support methods and attend training sessions on an ongoing basis to maintain and improve skills
  • Adhere to established industry standards in the technology field
  • Create documentation to assist with future technology problem resolution
  • Assist with network and server related projects and initiatives
  • Perform additional assignments as requested by supervisor/manager

Qualifications

  • At least an Associate degree in MIS, Computer Science or related area and 2-3 years of PC technical support or helpdesk experience
  • Both critical thinking and reasoning skills related to technology and its use
  • Working knowledge of Windows, M365, Azure, User management
  • Knowledge of workstation and mobile device hardware and software
  • Basic networking skills and the setup of networks and WIFI
  • Basic project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize work based on business needs
